Blazusiak returns to competition at EWC GP of Italy
H.Lautner - 13.05.2010
US Endurocross and Indoor Enduro World Cup champion Taddy Blazusiak has been given the all clear to return to competition following the shoulder injury he sustained prior to the Enduro World Championship’s GP of Spain.
Hopefully in full swing until Erzbergrodeo: Triple-champ Taddy Blazusiak

Taddy will return to competition at the GP of Italy, held in Lovere 90km north east of Milan on May 22/23.

Falling while training in Spain in early April, Taddy has been forced off a bike for the past six weeks in order to let his shoulder injury heal. Despite damaging nerves and ligaments, as well as fracturing his shoulder blade and ribs, Blazusiak is now back on a bike and readying himself for his return to competition.

Fully aware that returning to what will likely be an extremely challenging event won’t be easy, Taddy will be looking to return to full race fitness ahead of the Erzbergrodeo, which takes place at the end of May. Soon after Taddy will then race in the EWC GP of Poland as well as the Red Bull Romaniacs event in Romania before heading to the US for the start of the new Endurocross season.

TADDY'S FAVOURITE PLAYGROUND

Taddy Blazusiak:

‘It’s been a tough six weeks but finally things are looking up. It was my goal to race in the first two rounds of the Enduro World Championship but the injury I picked up while training for those events was worse than first diagnosed. I had several small fractures to my shoulder blade, not just one as originally thought, but damage to nerves and ligaments in the same shoulder increased the length of time I’ve needed to be off a bike.'
‘Things are good now, and I’ve been riding for a week. I’m going to compete in the Enduro 1 class at the GP of Italy, and I’m really looking forward to it. I was really looking for good results in Spain and Portugal where as now, although I still want to do as well as I can, I’m using the event as part of my preparations for Erzberg, the Polish round of the Enduro World Championship, and Romaniacs. I’m looking forward to getting back into competition.’
