The Iron Giant awaits 1,500 riders from 35 nations

Thursday, June 3, as soon as the first engines are ignited at the Styrian Erzberg, the Iron Giant turns into the epicenter of the international off road scene.

=== THURSDAY ===

On Thursday, 400 reckless riders try to stay victorious against the endless steep hills of the Erzberg in the action-packed ROCKET RIDE. Following the qualification rides (12:00 – 05:00pm) at 07:00pm the 48 fastest riders enter the spectacular superfinals.  After the ROCKET RIDE prize giving ceremony in the legendary Erzberg-marquee the first party night of the Erzbergrodeo 2010 kicks off with all its might.

=== FRIDAY ===

GENERALI Iron Road Prologue
On Friday, 1,500 riders from 35 nations and 5 continents (!) take up the challenge of the Iron Mountain and race 13 kilometers to the top of the Erzberg.

FÖRCH One-On-One Rider Presentation
At 02:00pm all the best riders of the Erzbergrodeo can be admired during a two-hour presentation conducted by Erzbergrodeo mastermind Karl Katoch. The riders will show off their exceptional talent on a special Endurocross track in the middle of the Erzbergroedo arena.

Raid on Eisenerz
3,000 bikes and their crazy bikers will take the town of Eisenerz by (peaceful!) storm. Competitors, entourage and Erzbergrodeo crew will form the biggest gathering of dirt bikes ever seen in this country. Back to the Erzbergrodeo arena, the participants will be welcomed by the heavy tunes of the Austrian rock band SPOUT, playing a special gig on the RED BULL BAND WAGGON.

GENERALI Iron Road Prolog – 2nd heat

At 08:00 in the morning 1,500 riders battle theit way to the summit of the Erzberg again. Only the best 500 pilots will bet he chosen ones for the infamous RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE on Sunday.

FÖRCH One-On-One Rider Presentation II

From 03:00pm to 05:00pm there is a second rider presentation in the Erzbergrodeo arena.

RED BULL Motorclash

At 06:00pm a true highlight of the whole Erzbergrodeo will take place! Former Formula 1 world champion Kimi Räikkönen will race his WRC Citröen C4 Rallyecar against 3-time Erzbergrodeo champ Taddy Blazusiak. A reckless, crazy high-speed pursuit to the top of the Iron Giant.

FÖRCH FMX-Party 

The fmx4ever-crew will leave spectator with their mouths open in amazement. Breathtaking jumps and manevers more than 10 meters above the heads of a enthusiastic crowd seem to deny all laws of gravity.

RIDER PARTY

Following the prize giving ceremony of the GENERALI Iron Road Prolog, where the final 500 riders for the RED BULL Hare Scramble will be announced, all hell breaks loose. The legendary RIDER PARTY takes up speed and will not end before the break o dawn.

RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE
While the 1,000 riders, who have not qualified for the RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE still have some time left to reminisce on their heroic deeds during the RIDER PARTY, the chosen 500 already ooze sweat and adrenaline. The toughest single day offroad race in the world will take all the strength, endurance and willpower  they can muster.

At 11:00am ten rows of fifty riders take their positions at the deepest point of the Erzberg area and at 12:00 the first row will be let loose …

The coming hours are hours of sweat, pain and desperation. Only a handful of riders escape the unforgiving fangs of the Erzberg and cross the RED BULL ARCH within the four-hours deadline. Although all 500 competitors are outstanding masters of their trade, the finishers can proudly call themselves the best of the best in the world!
